About Pelican Boatshed

Wake up to sunrise over the river and watch pelicans on the gantry with fish moving beneath your private pontoon. Pelican Boatshed is set up with practical comfort in mind, giving you a calm, functional space to relax, read, work, or simply enjoy the view. Large windows and easy outdoor access make it simple to move between the living area and the water’s edge without any fuss.

Anchors Wharf Café is only a short walk away, making it convenient for breakfast or coffee. Main Street is a quick 3-minute drive and has shops, dining options, the lido and the boardwalk, so you can easily pick up supplies or spend time exploring the area. The location keeps everything close without taking away from the quiet riverside setting.

    Unbelievably gorgeous room with stunning views overlooking the river - just like in the photos. The place was immaculate, everything was thought of and perfect. We loved fishing on the private pontoon and caught bream and flathead. Urunga is a hidden jewel with beautiful coastline and very close to all neighbouring towns. A magical stay - highly recommended!

    The Pelican Boat Shed has been the best stay of our trip so far. It felt so homely & comfortable. From the high quality soaps, top of the range bedding & comfortable size room. The views were beautiful, looking out right over the Kalang River. Grant did an amazing job at making sure we had everything we needed for our stay! The only thing I wish we did differently was spent an extra night or two as one night simply wasn’t enough!! We will definitely be back for another stay!!!

    Pelican Boat Shed is an absolute jewel. It is beautifully designed and decorated and we had everything we could have possibly needed. The view over the river is wonderful. It was extremely peaceful and we had a great night’s sleep in the very comfortable bed. Grant was very helpful and understanding when we had to change our dates. A very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend.

    The pictures and description don't do this place justice. It's uniquely beautiful and the attention to detail in its design is worth the stay alone. Grant is very responsive and accommodating, while the tastefully renovated river shed is an experience in itself. Very keen to come back, but I know it won't be as available for much longer as people discover this perfect stay.

    Definitely recommend the Pelican Boat Shed- Such a beautiful little place for a peaceful getaway, and nothing beats those views! Especially perfect if you love fishing! Grant was a wonderful host, greeted us when we arrived and supplied everything we could ever need and more! We’ll definitely be back!!!

    It was a little gem. Full of character. Clean and spacious for two people. Very comfortable bed. Lovely outlook over the Kalang River. We sat on the pontoon and enjoyed a glass of wine watching sun set and listening to the bird song.
    Parking was easy. Grant was friendly and approachable.
    Would recommend to any couple who enjoy peace and quiet. We had everything we needed. Thanks Grant
